ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the clinical effect of controlled ventilation with i-gel laryngeal mask airway in painless bronchoscopy. Methods 80 patients were randomly divided into control group (group A, n =40) and surface anesthesia group (group B, n = 40). Fent-anyl, ruifentanyl, propofol, succinylcholine anesthesia and controlled ventilation was adopted by i-gel laryngeal mask combined with T-seal adapter in control group.Surface of lidocaine anesthesia, spontaneous breathing, nasal cannula oxygen were applied in surface anesthesia group. Patients vital signs change in bronchoscopy , endoscopic related adverse reactions such as body movement, cough, laryngospasm. anesthesia related adverse reactions such as postoperative bucking, choking hoarseness, examination time and patient satisfaction were recorded. Results Controlled ventilation with i- gel laryngeal mask shows airway changes are small (P < 0.05), and less adverse reaction (P < 0.05). Patients showed higher satisfaction (P < 0.05). Conclusion controlled ventilation with i-gel laryngeal mask in painless bronchoscopy is safe , controls the airwayeffectively , and solve the problem of respiratory depression , which proves to be a feasible method.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of human telomerase reverse transcriptase C27 polypeptide (hTERTC27) over-expression on orthotopic implanted tumor growth which induced by nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells C666-1 in vivo. Methods Stably transfected C666-1 cell lines were used to establish subcutaneously transplanted tumor mouse model. The tumor growth was observed and the tumor growth curve was made by measuring the volumes of tumors every day.HE staining was used to observe the change of histomorphology. The expressions of cleaved Caspase-3,Caspase-9,PARP,bax and bcl-2 were detected by Western blot analysis. Results The in vivo mouse model showed that over-expression of hTERTC27 significantly reduced tumor volume and tumor weight (P < 0.05),and decreased the local muscle infiltration.Over-expression of hTERTC27 significantly up-regulated the expressions of cleaved Caspase-3,Caspase-9,PARP and bax (P < 0.01),and down-regulated the expression of bcl-2 (P < 0.01).Conclusion The results indicate that over-expression of hTERTC27 can obviously inhibit the growth of transplanted tumor in nude mice, which is possibly related to the regulation of bax and bcl-2 expression.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of rapid angulation rotation traction for lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. Methods A total of 88 patients (66 male and 22 female;age: 18-65), with a history of 2 days to 10 years were analyzed. Among them 20 cases were central protrusion 68 cases were lateral protrusion. Traction range: 60-65 mm, angle: 20°-25°, rotation degree: 20°-25°, traction time: 3 s-1 min. The process of treatment was computer designed. The traction was then 1 to 3 times, with a interval of 4-7 days between two treatments. Results The effective rate was 96% for the case with history <1 month 96% and 85% for cases with history >1 month (P<0.01). The effective rate was 62% for central protrusion, and 87% for lateral protrusion respectively. χ2 test showed the difference was not significant. Conclusion The rapid angulation rotation is an effective treatment for lumbar inter-vertebral disc protrusion and this non operative method should be used as early as possible.
